What is it?
With these e-cards, I invite you to gently explore and connect with your humanity.
In the process, I hope you’ll find things that surprise, delight and relieve you. I hope to ignite the courage you need to dare to discover and express who you are now (versus who you or anyone else thinks you should be). I hope to expand your capacity to love and enjoy yourself and your life, regardless of the circumstances.

  • May you be open to and curious about what you find.
  • May you feel free to share your insights with the ones you love.
  • May you be blessed on this precious journey we call life.

How does it work?

There are 5 simple steps.

STEP 1: If you want to increase the effectiveness of the e-cards ten to a hundred times, get your mind ready to receive insight before you begin. How do you do that? One way is, when you open your e-card, treat it as a ritual that signifies a break away from the daily grind. Hit the PAUSE button (you can really do that, you know) and allow yourself to stop for a moment and turn inwards. Take a few deep, full breaths and let the last one out with a sigh or even a yawn. Close your eyes for a moment long enough to find yourself in your body.

When you’re ready, open your eyes for STEP 2. The first thing you will see is a picture. Take it in and your right-brain will engage.

  • What do you notice?
  • Do you like or dislike the picture, and why?
  • Notice the light and shadow, color or lack of color.
  • Zoom in. What detail catches your attention, and why?
  • Zoom out. What’s the bigger picture?
  • What emotions, feelings or memories does it arouse?
  • What happened just before or just after the camera shutter clicked?
  • Where are you in this picture?
  • How does this picture relate to your life now?

cards2STEP 3: Take in the title at the bottom of the picture to engage your left-brain.

  • What does that word mean to you?
  • How does the word connect to the picture?
  • What title would you give the picture, and why?

STEP 4: Integrate it all together by reading the story.

And finally bring it home and apply it to yourself and your life with, STEP 5: Reflect on the questions.
